This year’s Day of the Deployed falls on Saturday, October 26, 2013.  A growing nationwide movement, this important observance has been celebrated every October 26th since 2006.

Day of the Deployed is a time for all Americans to reaffirm their patriotism and allegiance to flag and country… and a day to honor and thank those in uniform who are deployed to protect and preserve the American way of life.

Day of the Deployed is also a time to remember the families of those serving in harm’s way.  Like their family members in uniform, these courageous people make daily sacrifices.  Every deployment is a deep commitment that includes military mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, extended family and friends.

As of September 13, 2013, the United States had military personnel deployed in approximately 150 countries, or 75% of the world’s nations.

Please join USBA this October 26th in honoring these special men, women and children.  They are our heroes.
