If you’re a USBA member and you have a college-bound high school senior in the family, have your child apply for The William A. Dietrich Memorial Scholarship. But do it soon. Applications must be received by the end of this month – Tuesday, March 31st, 2015.

Offered by USBA Services, Inc., this $2,000 non-renewable award is given to deserving students to help pay for tuition, room and board at the recipient’s college or university of choice. You can get more details here.
Now in its 25th year, the Dietrich Memorial Scholarship honors former USBA Executive Director and President, the late Maj Gen William A. Dietrich, USAF (Ret.). It’s awarded annually to at least one graduating high school senior who is an eligible child or grandchild of a USBA member. The member can be on active duty, retired or separated from the military service, any branch.
2014 William A. Dietrich Memorial Scholarship recipients were Andrew Hurst, grandson of Norman Beesley, Commander in the U.S. Navy and USBA member since 1972; and Brianne Hoglin, granddaughter of Richard Hoglin, Major in the U.S. Air Force and USBA member since 1989.
