This year’s Dietrich Memorial Scholarship award winner is Miss Whitney A. Patterson of Yokota Air Base, Japan. Whitney will be attending Washington State University Honors College and majoring in Chemistry/Electrical Engineering.

Whitney is the daughter of USBA member Lt. Col. Wayne Patterson, and was selected on the basis of academic achievement, leadership accomplishments and participation in community activities.

The scholarship commemorates former USBA Executive Director and President, the late Maj. Gen. William A. Dietrich, USAF, and is awarded every year to a child of a USBA member in good standing who’s a graduating high school senior.
