YOUR TIME. A gift of your time is a gift no one else can give a grandchild, aging parent, spouse or shut-in neighbor. Make a standing movie date or spend an hour each week reading books, playing games or helping with homework and household chores.

YOUR TALENTS. Do you sew or bake? Are you the family photographer, handyman or gardener? Surprise someone with a year’s worth of birthday cakes for their family. Or create a one-of-a-kind scrapbook or photo album. Friends and family also appreciate help painting and doing other household projects.

FAMILY TREASURES.
Why wait to give your child or grandchild Grandpa’s WWII medals, the family’s heirloom clock, or a treasured handmade quilt? Gifts with special family significance are priceless.  Make sure to include a note that tells the gift’s story.

TRANSPORTATION. For those who don’t drive, not having to ask for a favor or pay for transportation is a practical present. Make a standing offer to be available for weekly shopping trips, doctors’ appointments and running errands.

PEACE OF MIND. Here’s one thing you don’t want to leave until the last minute. With the unique challenges and unknowns of military life, financial peace of mind is a gift that shouldn’t be taken for granted.  SGLI is provided for you while you’re in the military, but what happens when you transition or retire? USBA offers active, transitioning and retired military affordable group life insurance to supplement or replace SGLI. Financial peace of mind is a gift for you and those depending on you. Find out more while you’re thinking about it.

USBA is a not-for-profit Association that provides group life insurance, health insurance supplements, and other products and services to military personnel, Federal employees, National Guard and Reserve members, Veterans and their families.
