Transitioning veterans fly free to job interviews

Hire Our Heroes (HOH)—a nonprofit organization founded by veterans for veterans—is partnering with the Armed Forces Foundation and Southwest Airlines to provide free, round-trip tickets to transitioning veterans traveling to job interviews anywhere in the country.

The program is targeted at transitioning service members who have separated from the service within the last year or are planning to separate within the next 90 days. If you know someone who fits this description, please share this information with him or her.

HOH and its partners created the program to support our veterans as well as small and medium size businesses. The goal is to help these companies tap the veteran talent pool they otherwise might not access due to interviewing costs and budget constraints. It’s also designed to help transitioning veterans have face-to-face interviews and secure jobs prior to transitioning to civilian life.
